Guest poet, Sylvia Miles once again shares her poetry with “The Greatest Gift,” from her Christmas classics collection. The author has written poetry for over 20 years. Her collection includes inspirational, love, humor, self motivational and children’s verses.

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us)” (Matt 1:23 ESV).

It was the last month of the year

God gave a gift that was very dear

The greatest gift He could ever bestow

Given because He loved us so

SMiles.2012.God With Us

Conceived by the Spirit, born Christmas Day

To a sinful world which had gone astray

Spoken by the prophets that Jesus would be

When it came to pass the nations did see

Pink Divider.Ever Eden

Christ the Lord our new born King

Him who’s birth the angels sing

Born in a manger is where He lay

So many came to kneel and pray

S.Miles-God With Us.2012

Born was Jesus to a perplexed world

To save all men, boys, woman and girls

He’s the King of kings, Lord Emmanuel

God is with us, the truth has prevailed

Pink Divider.Ever Eden

He was given to us only for a while

Then ascended in the mist of the clouds

We’ll uphold Him forever while He’s gone away

As He abides in our hearts each given day
